Ezra has a lot of fear when it comes to new therapies or doctors from his recent journey post meningitis. Upon meeting Renée she knew she needed to work on Ezra's trust for the therapy to be effective. I can firmly say it was one of the most impactful weeks we’ve had regarding the hundreds of hours we have poured into therapies because of this.
Our son has never been able to be on his back, due to his fear, and when Renée has him WILLINGLY go on to his back, I also fell over. There was a very intimate moment of learning switch on and we saw rapid progress in our little guy with in the week.
For the first time he was able to hold an object with two hands, he became aware he can move at his waist, he is much more vocal and aware of all his surroundings in a way that surprised me. He is over all gaining new skills by the day and we can not wait to go back and have this therapy with Renée especially at the core to further his greatness potential, whatever that may be.
Update
After Ezra's Intensive block, his Mom also noted that in his group class he sat with his legs out in front of him for almost 5 minutes, his balance improved dramatically and his attention was also better!
I just wanted to share our ABM (Anat Baniel Method) experiences with you. My son is 9 years old and has ADHD and ASD. Although he is high functioning he struggles greatly socially and with managing frustration.
Ashley finished her first ABM (Anat Baniel Method) Intensive today thanks to Renée Gray. Over the past few days we witnessed Ashley discovering how to roll to her side, hold her head up in a baby cobra position and hold...
Kaiden had a stroke when he was 2 days old and we knew from the beginning that he would have some form of Cerebral Palsy. As soon as we got Kaiden home from hospital we knew that we needed to be proactive and get him into therapy.
We found out Alex had an in-utero stroke when I was 33 weeks pregnant. A few weeks after the shocking news I was told that hydrocephalus started and the prognosis of the doctors were grim.
We recently had the pleasure of taking our 9 month old daughter Robyn to see Renée. Robyn has a genetic condition that affects her motor skills and development.
"His brain was totally mapping his right arm! As I was gently holding him, he raised up his right hand looking at it with attention. Then he raised up his left one and started comparing them, slowly moving his fingers... I stepped back, stopped any movement, even my own breath slowed down and watched my big boy discovering himself. Words can't explain this feeling. It was one of the brighter moments we have ever lived together. From the bottom of my heart thank you Renée Gray. You are the most amazing partner I could ask for our learning journey. Even though we live so far away, you and your help have already made our life full of moments like this one."
Update:
Since beginning our Anat Baniel Method lessons six months ago her child has learned how to roll, belly scoot, come up to sitting and pull himself up to standing!
"After a recent intensive with Renée, Matei has been very chatty, using his voice all the time. He was able to vocalize 'dog' today for the first time and his 'no' has been more clear."
Joanna, Mom to Matei
"Renée I just wanted to share with you this video! He was very happy at this point but he rolled like 8 times, and it all started around 12am! I think this time this Milestone is here to stay, and we owe you a big thank you for working so hard on this!"

Update: Matias is a rolling pro now traveling across the floor!
In my Anat Baniel Method lessons I am able to help children reduce their spasticity which will open more opportunities for them to explore and experience new movements that were otherwise unavailable. In the first video you can clearly see the tightness in the child’s hand. I couldn’t open the hand unless I was to use force which we never do in ABM NeuroMovement. We know that if you work against spasticity the brain will send an even stronger message to hold it even tighter. You can see there is a lot of resistance and when I go to open the finger a slight bit, it immediately snaps back. She’s holding her hand so tight her knuckles are even turning white. After working with the hand for about 10 minutes I was able to bring her awareness to her hand and her brain was able to stop sending the message to contract the hand. She was able to let go of the tightness in her hand and even in her wrist, allowing freedom and the ability to move independently while easily staying open.
He didn't feel confident trying to walk without holding onto something or someone's hand. Instead he was choosing to crawl.
Joe is feeling much more confident and ready to try walking on his own after 4 days. He's able to bring his heals down to the floor and can even catch his balance when he starts to fall.
